Discover the adventurers' absolute retreat: the Λ Cabin by the Mainalon Trail ravine. This A-framed cabin is located close to the 5th trail to Elati, positioned on the other side of the river.
This cozy, 25sqm A-framed cabin was handcrafted by us, to provide it to hikers exploring Mainalo, travelers favoring adventurous accommodation or city escapists seeking isolation and tranquility. If you are looking for adventure and appreciate a place built for it, the Λ is a memorable experience.
Location & Overview
Nestled over the ravine of the ancient Mylaontas river and surrounded by enchanting woods, the Λ Cabin provides a secluded oasis away from the hustle and bustle of city life (απόδραση από την πόλη).
It is strategically positioned close to the 5th Mainalon trail, Vytina-Elati and particularly right before the most beautiful part of it, the last 3km to Elati. Arguably -considered by many- the best part of the entire Mainalon Trail, parallel to the river. Access to the trail from the cabin is 150-300m close, depending on how adventurous you wish to be, accessing it.
Just over a two-hour, 200km drive from Athens. It is located by the Pyrgaki village, a famous place deserted 60 years ago. It is now only inhabited by a warm-hearted, compassionate monache nun.
To access the Λ Cabin, guests have three adventurous options to choose from:
- drive all the way to the cabin with a 4X4 or touring motorycle,
- park the 4X4 /bike at the property entrance and walk 50m down the Theoktisto path or
- park any car at Pyrgaki's St. John chapel and walk 300m to the cabin.
Travelers can unwind in the natural splendor of the Menalon mountain (Μαίναλο), while enjoying the comforts of this charming cabin.

The Cabin
This A-framed cabin features a unique setting with key amenities to ensure a cozy and relaxing stay.
Two prince-size double beds up on the attic accommodate up to two couples. Four puffs with the scenic glass-window view outside. A bathroom with a shower cabin and a small kitchenette. Folding tables to eat or work. And a patio to sit outside with a spectacular 180 view of the Mylaontas canyon.
The cabin is bookable for couples or families of four. Double mattresses on the attic are prince-sized; couples will be close to each other and size is not that suitable for overweight ones.
Travelers can enjoy peaceful nights, rejuvenating mornings and exciting outdoor activities in the surrounding nature of the forest.

Accommodation
Bed amenities are available, plus a heater for the cold months at the Λ Cabin.
A kitchenette covers the basic needs for travelers. Microwave, boiler, toaster, refrigerator.
The bathroom includes a shower cabin.
A fan cools down the cabin during the warmer months.
